Driving from Canada

Ontario, Quebec City, and Beyond

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is just 30 minutes south of Montreal, accessible via Highway 10 East and Highway 35 South.

  • From Ontario: Head East into Quebec. Near Montreal, follow signs for Autoroute 10 East (Champlain Bridge), then take Highway 35 South to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

Driving from the USA (consider flying-in, see further below)

From New York State (e.g. Albany, NYC, Plattsburgh):

  1. Take I-87 North to Champlain, NY.
  2. Cross into Canada at Champlain–Lacolle.
  3. Continue on Autoroute 15 North.
  4. Take Exit 6 for Route 104 East.
  5. Follow signs to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and the Royal Military College.

From Vermont (e.g. Burlington, Montpelier):

  1. Take I-89 North to Highgate Springs.
  2. Cross at Highgate Springs–Saint-Armand.
  3. Take Route 133 North, then Autoroute 35 North.
  4. Exit onto Route 104 East to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.

From New Hampshire (e.g. Lancaster, Littleton):

  1. Head north on local highways to Beecher Falls, VT.
  2. Cross into East Hereford, QC.
  3. Continue on QC-253, then follow signs to Autoroute 10 West.
  4. Take Autoroute 35 South, exit at Route 104 East.

From Maine (e.g. Augusta, Bangor):

  1. Take US-201 North to Jackman, ME.
  2. Cross into Saint-Théophile, QC.
  3. Take QC-173 North, then Route 112 West to Autoroute 10 West.
  4. Follow Autoroute 35 South, then Route 104 East.

Flying from the USA

For U.S.-based travelers, flying domestic to Plattsburgh International Airport (PBG) or Burlington International (BTV) can be a convenient and cost-effective option. From any of these locations, you can rent a car and drive to the event in about one hour and a half or less.

This avoids international flight premiums and provides flexibility in travel.

Depuis l’État de New York (Albany, NYC, Plattsburgh) :

  1. Prenez I-87 Nord jusqu’à Champlain, NY.
  2. Traversez la frontière à Champlain–Lacolle.
  3. Poursuivez sur l’autoroute 15 Nord.
  4. Sortie 6 vers la Route 104 Est.
  5. Suivez les panneaux vers Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu et le Collège militaire royal.

Depuis le Vermont (Burlington, Montpelier) :

  1. Prenez I-89 Nord jusqu’à Highgate Springs.
  2. Traversez à Highgate Springs–Saint-Armand.
  3. Prenez la route 133 Nord, puis l’autoroute 35 Nord.
  4. Sortie vers la Route 104 Est.

Venir en avion des États-Unis

Pour les voyageurs américains, il est souvent plus simple et économique de prendre un vol intérieur vers Plattsburgh (PBG) ou Burlington (BTV), puis louer une voiture. Le trajet vers Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu prend environ 1h30 ou moins.
