I have waited 38 years to see him again! 🙂
47 years here to see him once. I’m looking forward to it!
Im floored at an opportunity to hear Brian kernighan speak about unix in person.
I was fortunate to be one of Brian’s students at Stevens Institute of Technology Graduate Computer Science program. It was a summer program (1975?) so it was a relaxed and fun time.
He taught us hove to write well structured programs using RatFortran. I ported the language to the DEC PDP-8e.
I used the information he shared in nearly 100 consulting opportunities for Digital Equipment Corporation.
I am planning to attend on Friday but will be unable to do so Satuday. Will Kernighan’s talk be recorded and posted somewhere later?
His talk will be recorded and posted to VCF’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@vcfederation
