Dean Notarnicola – Position Statement for Steering Committee

I have been an active member of MARCH/VCF for seven-plus years. I initially joined because of the rekindling of my interest in all things vintage computing, but also as a way to share it with my son, Drew. As an IT Architect (formerly programmer, network and systems engineer) my career has moved me farther away from the bare metal that sparked my enthusiasm for computing back in 1979. Since then, I have been very fortunate to work with many great people who share the same passion for preserving the history of computing, and who believe in the importance of educating the public to keep it alive and remind them of the origins of the modern technology that has pervaded our lives and society.

There has been much growth and change in the last seven years and even better things are coming. I would like to continue on the committee to help bring about those changes and work with the other members to build our member community and strengthen our mission of preservation, restoration and education. Thank you for your consideration.
