VCF EAST MENUSchedule

Computer Workshop

Location 3 on the Campus Map.

Glitchworks is a hands-on workshop to assemble various kits with the guidance of Jonathan “Glitch” Chapman. You purchase the kit and receive help with soldering and troubleshooting. The workshops are for adults only.

No appointment is needed.

The kit this year is the Glitchbus 6502 Single-Board Computer.

The workshop typically takes 1-2 hours depending on skill level. More if you are learning to solder.

The kit costs $100 for the Glitchbus 6502 SBC, including all parts. All the programmable parts are pre-programmed. There is a PDF manual.

The kit is a 6502 computer that you build by hand and solder together. It runs BASIC and a ROM monitor. You talk to it over a serial port. It can be powered over USB which can also be the serial connection to a modern computer.
